Admission Criteria: 

• Secondary V or post-secondary education
• One (1) year of full-time employment or experience requiring the understanding of any programming language (prerequisite training also available)

 

English Examination Waivers:

 

IELTS or TOEFL requirements are waived if the applicant meets the following requirements: 

 

• IELTS or TOEFL scores are waived if you are a citizen of the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia or New Zealand. Applicants who are citizens of India, Pakistan, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore, etc. are not exempt from the requirement. 

 

• Successful prior study for minimum of one year full-time: The applicant must have successfully completed at least one year of full-time study in an assessable qualification at a university or other post-secondary educational institution where the sole language of instruction and assessment was English and provide a statement or certificate issued by the institution's Registrar (or equivalent) confirming this. The statement or certificate must be on official headed paper and must be the original document. 

 

• Directly relevant work experience for at least the last 2 years: The applicant must have participated in directly relevant work experience (or equivalent discipline practice) using English. The applicant will be required to submit a letter from their employer on company letterhead as a proof of English proficiency, which states: 

• The position title 
• The duties are undertaken 
• The level of English spoken i.e. how was English used (written, verbal etc.) and to what level was English used 

 

• Residency in an English-speaking country for at least 5 years: The applicant must be able to provide evidence that they have lived in a predominantly English-speaking country, for a period of 5 years or more, immediately prior to the commencement of the program. During residency, the applicant should have been involved in activities that exercise English language skills including both general and academic proficiency (such as community involvement etc.) and will need to provide references showing how these skills were developed. The applicant will also need to provide copies of passports and/or visas to prove duration of residency.

On-campus or Off-campus

Part-time: 20 Hour/week

Payment Schedule:

1- Pay the Application Fee through the STAR website

2- Pay a minimum of 25% of the tuition fee directly to the college (before applying for the visa) *100% refundable in case of visa refusal

3- Pay the balance of the tuition fee (after your visa get approved/ after your arrival in Montreal)

Security Deposit: C$ 500
