Special Care Counseling program aims to train professionals who will work with children, adults and elderly people afflicted with physical or intellectual disabilities, behavioral, mental or
health-related disorders with the goal of supporting their adaptation, rehabilitation and social
integration.
Students will learn to collaborate with teachers and other professionals to intervene with
patients afflicted with learning difficulties, difficulties of adaptation or behavioral disorders;
participate in the development and implementation of intervention plans and identify ways to
achieve objectives; develop, organize and lead various educational or cultural activities thatfocus on developing various skills such as social, cognitive, psychomotor, communication, self- esteem, affirmation, problem-solving; use intervention techniques adapted to a crisis
management context; collaborate, as needed, with social organizations, hospitals, the police, etc.
Total Duration: 20 Months (1095 Hours + 990 hours internship)
